Felting an elephant

So, I have decided to create a new felting kit with natural wools as they are great for needle felting and after much thought and discussion decided upon including instructions for a needle felted elephant. This meant I needed to make one, which I have not attempted before.

I find the best way to make a felted piece it to look at pictures of the real thing and if lucky enough to find them felted examples. I found a few stunning examples of felted elephants however my absolute favourite is one made by artist Sara Renzulli (above and below) She has been felting for over 4 years creating a distinct style. I have included a few pictures of Sara’s in my gallery.
